Julia Kidwell

Julia E. Kidwell / PhD LP

Clinical Director

Julia is the Clinical Director of CRC and received her PhD from Iowa State University in counseling psychology. She is a licensed psychologist and sees clients at CRC’s Golden Valley location. Julia completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School working with adolescents and young adults, with a special emphasis in early detection and treatment of severe and persistent mental illnesses, such as Schizophrenia. She has worked in clinical settings including residential treatment, community mental health, university counseling, and private practice. In addition to authoring a variety of publications on forgiveness and trauma recovery, she has taught undergraduate and graduate classes and supervised students and fellow therapists. Her areas of expertise and clinical focus include mood disorders, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, resiliency, forgiveness of self and others, self-esteem, and the integration of spirituality and psychotherapy. Julia appreciates and values the opportunity to work with clients at all stages of change and from all faith backgrounds.
