Laura Gilmer / MA
Laura holds a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul. Laura see’s clients at CRC’s Golden Valley location. Laura is working towards licensure as a marriage and family therapist and is being supervised by a licensed marriage and family therapist at CRC. She is a former elementary school teacher with a Masters of Arts in Teaching and 18 years of experience working with children and families. Laura approaches her work with clients from family systems perspective, integrating cognitive behavioral, narrative, strengths-based, and solution-focused thinking into her time with them. She enjoys working with young people, families, and individuals who are struggling with emotional and behavioral challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family conflict and change, addiction, and life transitions. Laura is trained in helping others to integrate their own faith, spirituality, and cultural context into their healing process.
