Tasha Ellis / PsyD
Tasha Ellis has her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology. She sees clients in the Rockford and Golden Valley locations. Tasha is working towards licensure as a psychologist and is being supervised by a licensed psychologist at CRC. Tasha has specialized training in the treatment of severe and persistently mentally ill clients dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. She has worked in clinical settings including inpatient and residential treatment, university counseling, and outpatient community mental health. Additionally, she teaches graduate courses in psychology and psychotherapy. Tasha has experience working with adolescents and adults in both individual and group psychotherapy. Her areas of expertise and clinical focus include mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, personality disorders, trauma and dissociation, family of origin concerns, and substance abuse. Tasha is able to complete personality and intelligence testing and can help determine clients’ current levels of functioning, future needs/directions and diagnosis. Tasha primarily works from a psychodynamic theoretical perspective wherein she uses insight-oriented therapy to raise awareness of self-defeating patterns. While grounded in her faith, Tasha welcomes and enjoys working with clients of all faith backgrounds.
